The Portuguese Society of Biomechanics, in partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda, will organize, on June 5th, a workshop on the topic ‘Isokinetic Evaluation in Football: From Theory to Practice ‘.

The event, which will take place at LabMOV – Physical Performance and Health Performance Assessment Laboratory at the School of Education, Communication and Sport (ESECD), will address the theoretical concepts of isokinetic dynamometry, followed by a practical session to evaluate the bilateral knee joint moments and their interpretation in the prevention and recovery of injuries and return to the game in football.

The workshop will be taught by Eduardo Oliveira, physiologist and physical trainer of Futebol Clube do Porto.
